Starting the RES ONE Workspace Console takes a long with many objects in Scope Control

    Problem

    Consider the following scenario:
    • Directory Services are configured to process Access Control based on Account SIDs.
    • An Administrative Role is used where the Scope Control is configured with many Active Directory Groups under Access Control.
    • The Active Directory Groups all contain a large number of users.
    • An administrative user starts the RES ONE Workspace Console.
    In this scenario it takes a very long time before the RES ONE Workspace Console is loaded.

    The Splash Screen freezes at 'Processing Scope(s)'.


     

    Solution

    This issue is resolved in RES ONE Workspace v10.

    In case the Service Release is not (yet) available or in case the Service Release cannot be installed, a revision containing this update is available on request at RES Support.

    IMPORTANT: A revision contains multiple fixes. Only apply this revision when you are experiencing a specific problem.
    Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, RES Software recommends that you wait for the next service release containing these fixes.
