The font size on Microsoft Windows 10 becomes smaller after subsequent logons

Version 1

    Problem

The font size on Microsoft Windows 10 becomes smaller after subsequent logons. Every next logon, items on the taskbar are becoming smaller and the issue is also faced for example in a DOS box.

    Consider the following scenario:
    • User logs on to a Microsoft Windows 10 with RES ONE Workspace Agent installed.
    • The User Settings templates Visual Settings and Accessibility Options are used.

    Cause

Both User Settings templates contain registry values from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics and those are causing the issue.

    Solution

This issue is resolved in RES ONE Workspace v10.

In case the Service Release is not (yet) available or in case the Service Release cannot be installed, a revision containing this update is available on request at RES Support.

IMPORTANT: A revision contains multiple fixes. Only apply this revision when you are experiencing a specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, RES recommends that you wait for the next service release containing these fixes.

    Note:

These registry values will no longer be present in the User Setting templates starting from RES ONE Workspace v10.
