Intermittently Microsoft Windows 8.1 / 2012 R2 Start menu doesn't appear after logon

    Problem

    Consider the following scenario:

    - Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows 8.1 is used.
    - In the RES ONE Workspace Console > Composition > Desktop > Lockdown and Behavior,  the option "Enable Windows 8.1 Start Menu (Windows 8.1 / 2012 R2 )" is checked.

    Sometimes when the user logs in, the Windows 8.1 / 2012 R2 Start Menu is not started. If the the start button in the left bottom corner is clicked, the tiles screen is displayed instead of the Windows 8.1 / 2012 R2 Start Menu.

     

    Solution

    This issue is resolved in RES ONE Workspace v10.1.300.1

     

    In case the Minor Release is not (yet) available, or in case the Minor Release cannot be installed, contact Ivanti Support to obtain more information on the availability of a Revision.

     

    IMPORTANT: A revision contains multiple fixes. Only apply this revision when you are experiencing a specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Ivanti recommends that you wait for the next Minor Release containing these fixes.
