Microsoft Windows Start Menu and/or Start Screen not filled correctly after Workspace refresh

    Problem

    Consider the following scenario:

    - RES Workspace Manager 2014 SR3 is used.
    - Folder Redirection is enabled within RES Workspace Manager console.

    Under rare circumstances, after a Workspace refresh, the Start Menu and/or Start Screen were not filled correctly and an error -3 modShellLink.WriteShellLinkFast in the error log.

    For Microsoft Windows 8.1 and Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2, this issue also affected the RES ONE Workspace Start Menu (configured in Composition > Desktop > Lockdown and Behavior, which can be found in the section: Microsoft Windows Shell > Enable Windows 8.1 Start Menu (windows 8.1 / 2012R2).


     

    Solution

    This issue is resolved in RES ONE Workspace 2016 and higher.
