The Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop 7.6 session stops responding after 3 reconnects

    Problem

    Consider the following situation:

    - Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp 7.6 is in use (Citrix VDA Agent 7.6.300 is installed on the Client OS).
    - A program is started that has Dynamic Privileges enabled via RES ONE Workspace.
    - 3 Reconnects to the same Session are done from 3 different endpoints.

    Upon the 3rd reconnect, the session stays blank and will not continue with the refresh action (if configured). The user can not access the start menu anymore.


     

    Cause

    The issue is related to the Citrix VDA agent.

    As soon as the Program is started with dynamic privileges, the process is suspended when disconnected.


     

    Solution

    This issue has been resolved by Citrix.

    Download the Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp VDA agent version (7.6.302) or version 7.11 from the MyCitrix.com website to solve this issue.
