Printer message "Your Default printer has changed" appears when an application changes your default printer

Version 1

    Problem

Users may receive a warning message stating that "Your Default printer has changed" if an application changes the default printer.

    Cause

The RES Printer Preferences were not used to change the Default printer.

For example, a user prints in an application that has to print on a label printer instead of the user's default printer. The application is designed to automatically change the default printer to the label printer and then back again once it is finished.

    Solution

Select "Do not register default printer changes" in the Default printer has changed popup.

This will create a new entry "NotifyDefaultPrinterChange=No" in your pwruser.ini file, which will keep the popup from appearing again. If you remove the entry in the pwruser.ini file, the popup will appear again.
