If Microsoft Excel is started from within an application and is hidden, or an add-in within Microsoft Excel opens a hidden worksheet, Ivanti Workspace Control notices this and brings Microsoft Excel forward, making the blank worksheet visible to the end user.
The issue does not occur if the application that exports the data is ran using an unmanaged shortcut.
Microsoft Excel does not run hidden in a Workspace Control environment.
Allow Microsoft Excel to be run minimized. Add the following key to the registry:
Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RES\Workspace Manager
Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\RES\Workspace Manager
Note: This registry key can also be set on HKEY_CURRENT_USER
In order for this solution to work make sure the registry entry ManageExcel is not present on HKCU nor HKLM registry level. Also see the KB article Howto disable the interaction between Ivanti Workspace Composer and Microsoft Excel processes.
