Controls from the context menu in User Sessions do not work

Version 1

    Problem

In the User Sessions node of the RES Workspace Manager Console, it is possible to right-click an active session and choose an action to perform on that session. Depending on the type of session, the following actions are available:

    - Force refresh of "<username>" now...
    - Remote control "<username>"...
    - Offer remote assistance to  "<username>"...
    - Send message to "<username>"...
    - Logoff "<username>"...
    - Reset "<username>"...
    - Disconnect "<username>"...

Under certain circumstances these actions can be performed, but they do not have the desired effect on the user`s session.

    Cause

The RES Workspace Manager Agent on which the user session is running cannot be identified properly. This can be the case when machines have been deployed from an image that already contained a RES Workspace Manager Agent and therefore share the same unique identifier (GUID).

    Solution

Change the way in which an RES Workspace Manager Agent is identified:

In the field Administration > Agents > Settings > Identify Agents by, select a different value (for example "Computer domain name & NetBIOS name").
