Opening a Citrix XenApp published application may take several seconds

    Problem

    Opening a Citrix XenApp published application may take several seconds. This delay may be experienced when the RES Workspace Manager console is used on a Citrix XenApp server by an account that has administrative privileges in Citrix XenApp.

    Cause

    Every query to Citrix XenApp adds additional time to an action in the RES Workspace Manager console. Load Evaluators are queried multiple times when a Citrix XenApp published application is opened, while one query could be sufficient. This has been optimized.

    Note: Querying the Load Evaluators is only possible on a Citrix XenApp server by an account that has administrative privileges in Citrix XenApp. Otherwise it is not possible to configure Load Evaluators. This can be configured in the properties of a managed application through the tabs "Publishing > Citrix XenApp Published Application > Load Evaluators".

    Solution

    This issue is resolved in RES Workspace Manager 2014 SR2.
     
    In case the Service Release is not (yet) available or in case the Service Release cannot be installed, a revision containing this update is available on request at RES Support.
     
    IMPORTANT: A revision contains multiple fixes. Only apply this revision when you are experiencing a specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, RES Software recommends that you wait for the next service release containing these fixes.
