Connecting a fast connected default printer delays the logon

Version 1

    Problem

Connecting a fast connected default printer delays the logon. This issue occurs when the printer driver is not available on the system and the user has selected the printer as the default printer.

    Cause

This is behavior by design. Microsoft Windows is unable to set a printer default that is not connected. Therefore RES Workspace Manager will override the fast connect option and wait for the default printer to be connected.

    Solution

Change the configuration of the default printer. Make sure that a printer is set default that has a driver available on the system. To override the user selected default printer you can use the option "Force mandatory default printer (resets default printer during each logon)".
