ProblemYou are not able to pin multiple Microsoft Internet Explorer applications with different parameters to the taskbar in a managed RES ONE Workspace session.
CauseThis behavior is by design.
You are also not able to do this without RES ONE Workspace.
SolutionIn older versions of RES Workspace Manager, you were able to create multiple shortcuts of Microsoft Internet Explorer on the taskbar. You could do this because each shortcut had a command line that contained the pwrgate executable with a specific application number. Therefore Microsoft Windows sees the shortcut as a unique application.
To revert to the old behavior create the following registry key.
Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\RES\Workspace Manager
Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RES\Workspace Manager
Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\RES\Workspace Manager
This registry key only applies to RES Workspace Manager 2012 SR4 and higher.
