ProblemWhen starting a Microsoft App-V 5 application with RES Workspace Manager you receive the error message "Application can not be started". The Microsoft App-V 5 Client has been installed with the package installation root pointing to a different location than the default location. The virtual applications start correctly in a session without RES Workspace Manager.
CauseIn Microsoft App-V there is a possibility to redirect the package installation root. This can be done by using Group Policy`s or by specifying the parameter /PACKAGEINSTALLATIONROOT="path" in the unattended setup of the Microsoft App-V Client.
Due to a coding error, this behavior is not detected by RES Workspace Manager and therefore the application will fail to start.
SolutionThis issue is resolved in RES Workspace Manager 2012 SR4.
