After starting a published application the session is logged off immediately

Version 1

    Problem

After starting a published application the session is logged off immediately. This behavior only occurs when starting a published application which starts minimized as a system tray application.

    Cause

Due to a coding error, active system tray applications are not detected as a running application. Therefore, the managed application is instantly logging off.

    Solution

Since RES Workspace Manager 2012 SR1 Fix Pack 2, it is possible to configure a custom list of processes that will be monitored during the Workspace Manager session. Whenever a configured process is detected, the workspace manager will be kept alive.

The "include processes" list can be configured within the registry of the RES Workspace Manager Agent.

Add the following key. Multiple excluded processes can be configured in a comma separated list:

    32-bit:

    Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RES\Workspace Manager
    Value: IncludeProcesses
    Type: REG_SZ
    Data: Communicator.exe (example)

    64-bit:

    Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\RES\Workspace Manager
    Value: IncludeProcesses
    Type: REG_SZ
    Data: Communicator.exe (example)
