Logging on to a computer on a remote location is slow. The splash screen freezes for a short while on "Composing Applications". In this scenario the computer has an active network connection, but is unable to reach the corporate network.
Managed applications that have an UNC path in the command line are available to the user based on a connection state. In an offline scenario, the UNC paths cannot be reached. This causes a timeout when the command lines are processed.
Reconfigure the applications to be unavailable when offline. This can be done by changing the required connection state to "online" in the Settings tab of the managed application and changing the global application setting "Do not show online applications when computer is offline".
