Migration of user settings location failed

Version 1

    Problem

    Consider the following scenario:
    • User Settings have been enabled with a path that includes a backslash (e.g. <homedrive>\Personal Settings\)
    • The Migration settings have been changed. User Settings previously stored in a different location are copied or moved
In this scenario the User Settings will not be copied or moved. The following warning can be found in the User Event Log:

Migration of user settings location from "<Migration settings location>" to "<User Settings location>" Failed.

    Solution

This issue is resolved in RES Workspace Manager 2014 SR3.

In case the Service Release is not (yet) available or in case the Service Release cannot be installed, a revision containing this update is available on request at RES Support.

IMPORTANT: A revision contains multiple fixes. Only apply this revision when you are experiencing a specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, RES Software recommends that you wait for the next service release containing these fixes.

    WORKAROUND:

Remove the trailing backslash of the User Settings path.
