ProblemConsider the following scenario:
The installation of a Service Release for RES Workspace Manager is started unattended on a machine as soon as it is started.
During the installation a user logs on to a managed session and receives the message "No RES Workspace Manager licenses available for this session".
CauseDuring the installation of a Service Release the RES Workspace Manager agent service is stopped. Licenses for a user are claimed by the RES Workspace Manager agent service. The RES Workspace Manager agent waits for one minute for the server to respond.
If the service does not respond during that period of time then agent will conclude that there is no license available and the user will get the message "No RES Workspace Manager licenses available for this session".
SolutionThis issue is resolved in RES Workspace Manager 2014 SR3.
In case the Service Release is not (yet) available or in case the Service Release cannot be installed, a revision containing this update is available on request at RES Support.
IMPORTANT: A revision contains multiple fixes. Only apply this revision when you are experiencing a specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, RES Software recommends that you wait for the next service release containing these fixes.
