Error upon starting elevated Citrix passthrough application: Cannot start app. Please contact your help desk

    Consider the following scenario:
    • An application is published in Citrix XenApp to an application server in the RES ONE Workspace console.
    • Under Security > Dynamic Privileges the option Add administrator rights is enabled for the application.
    • A user is logged on to a RES ONE Workspace managed session on a desktop server and starts the published application as Instant Passthrough application.
    In this scenario the application is not started and the following error is displayed.

    Cannot start app. Please contact your help desk.



    The Citrix Receiver process is started with elevated privileges instead of the Instant Passthrough application.
    Because the process starts to run under another user context, the application cannot be started.



    This issue is resolved in RES ONE Workspace

    In case the Minor Release is not (yet) available, or in case the Minor Release cannot be installed, contact Ivanti Support to obtain more information on the availability of a Revision.

    IMPORTANT: A revision contains multiple fixes. Only apply this revision when you are experiencing a specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Ivanti recommends that you wait for the next Minor Release containing these fixes.
