ProblemConsider the following scenario:
- An English Operating System is being used.
- Chinese Language Packs have been installed / activated on the Operating System.
- Dutch language has been configured as being the language to be used for non-unicode programs.
- Default Internet Explorer 11 User Settings are being used in the environment.
CauseDue to a Microsoft bug, DWORD value data is invallid in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\DOMStorage.
Opening the registry using any version of regedit.exe will show the DWORD value data entry is an invalid DWORD (32-bit) value.
SolutionThis issue is resolved in Ivanti Workspace Control 10.2.500.0
In case the Minor Release is not (yet) available, or in case the Minor Release cannot be installed, contact Ivanti Support to obtain more information on the availability of a revision.
IMPORTANT: A revision contains multiple fixes. Only apply this revision when you are experiencing a specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Ivanti recommends that you wait for the next Minor Release containing these fixes.
Please Note: Also report this issue to Microsoft, the solution provided in version 10.2.500.0 is only ignoring the invalid value data, for a proper solution Microsoft should investigate and create a fix for this issue.
