Consider the following scenario:
- RES ONE Workspace 10.1 or higher is installed
- Ivanti Workspace Control datastore is configured with a Designated Account in addition to Windows Authentication
- Ivanti Workspace Control Agent Service is configured to "Log on as a service" with a Windows User account and is a member of the Local Administrator group
- An Administrative role is configured for a User who does not have rights on the datastore
In this scenario, access is not grated to the Ivanti Workspace Control Console.
Opening the Ivanti Workspace Control Console will generate an error:
"Unable to get designated account form the service"
"Connection could not be established (using designated account):
Unable to get designated account form service.
In the Windows Application event log an error wil be generated:
"Failed to verify signature of process '0000' (reported by res.exe)"
The Designated account can't be used to access the datastore. This should be used in combination with the User permissions of the Administrative role to allow access to the Ivanti Workspace Control Console
This issue is resolved in Ivanti Workspace Control 10.2.700.0.
