Unable to update cache because database connection failed

    Consider the following situation:

    • RES ONE Workspace 2016 or higher is installed
    • Citrix Xenapp is in use in combination with Citrix Machine Creation Services
    • Testing the database connection with ODBC result of the test is: Test Completed Successfully
    • A direct datastore connection is configured on the Ivanti Workspace Control Agent


    After the machine is booted and created with Citrix Machine Creation Services the cache is updated once at boot. After boot the cache cannot be updated. Force cache update does not succeed.




    Test the connection with Ivanti Workspace Control connection with "%RESPFDIR%\svc\res.exe /config" will result in "Connection failed (Connection could not be established:)







    Install the SQL native client in the Citrix Machine Creation Services image.
