Problem / Solution: Error in SCW "Application Server Domain Name should be set with FQDN in Step#2." when clicking Next on page 4

Version 1

    Environment:

Premise install with SSL configured for least the Application Server module

    Requires Access To:

Application server, System Config Wizard (SCW)

    Error message:

Application Server Domain Name should be set with FQDN in Step#2.

    Problem:

Error in SCW "Application Server Domain Name should be set with FQDN in Step#2." when clicking Next on page 4

    Cause:

This can be caused by one of two conditions:

    1. Page 2 has the option "Use machine name to access application" set even though the Application server is set to Use SSL on page 4.
    2. The option "Use domain name to access application" is set (which is proper for SSL configuration) but the FQDN provided does not resolve.

    Solution / Workaround:

Select "Use domain name to access application" and provide an FQDN that resolves.  This should resolve to this server's IP address or a firewall / load balancer that is the end user facing endpoint for this tenant environment.
