How to: Restore a CSA backup from SSH

    This document is designed to help those who are no longer able to access the CSA user interface for whatever reason (Likely a configuration change) to restore the CSA from a previous backup.




    Connect to the CSA via SSH using Putty. Once logged in, run the following commands:


    cd /subin

    sudo su (enter password)

    backuptool --list (to find the backup)

    backuptool --restore backupname.tar.gz

    shutdown -r now


    Once the CSA boots up, you should be restored back to the backup of your choice.


    This has been tested on CSA 4.3 and should function with later versions.
