UTF-8 encoded .ini files in User Profile Directory are edited incorrectly

    Problem

     

    Consider the following scenario:

    • A .ini file is created by an text editor, e.g. Notepad.
    • This file is saved as .ini and the encoding is set to UTF-8.
    • The file is added to the tab Files in the User Profile Directory under Composition > Actions By Type > Files and Folders.
    • The file is added in the tab Actions to copy this to the User Profile Directory.

    When the user is logged on, this file is copied and changed by Ivanti Workspace Control. However, the following characters are added to the first line in the .ini: 

     

     

    Solution

    This issue is resolved in Ivanti Workspace Control 10.2.600.0.
