Consider the following scenario:
- The Microsoft App-V /appvve argument is used as a parameter on an Ivanti Workspace Control managed application to launch a locally installed application inside a virtual environment.
- The package delivery mode has not been specified in the properties of the application.
- The application is started in a user session.
In this scenario, the following error message will be present in the User Event Log at logoff:
Event: [AppID=xxx] Restoring User Settings for application
Result: Failed; virtual environment not available
The Microsoft App-V package has not been loaded. Therefore, Ivanti Workspace Control is unable to check if User Settings need to be restored.
Make sure that the Microsoft App-V package has been loaded.
This can be done by using the package delivery mode on the application, through a Microsoft App-V server, through System Center Configuration Manager or using PowerShell commands.
