Consider the following scenario:
- Ivanti VDX is used to give users access to local applications while working in a remote session.
- The remote session is started from a webpage (e.g. Citrix Storefront) or thin client software (e.g. ThinKiosk).
- The option Show already running client applications is set to No to prevent Ivanti VDX from managing the webpage or thin client software once the session is started.
- One or more local applications are used, that are started on the endpoint and should be managed by Ivanti VDX in the remote session.
In this scenario, there is no option to make an exception for these applications.
If the option Show already running client applications is set to Yes, then also the webpage or thin client software are managed by Ivanti VDX and will be shown in the remote session.
This issue is resolved in Ivanti VDX 10.3.0.0.
From this version, an exception for one or more local applications can be made by setting the following registry key on the endpoint.
Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RES\VDX Plugin
