How to delete a users profile in Service Desk

    Problem:

    There are times that a specific users profile can become corrupt.

     

    Symptoms:

    Some of the problems that can be seen when this has happened are:

     

    The actions normally shown within the action panel are missing.

    The action panel can be expanded over the details pane.

    A User cannot login to ServicePortal - Access denied.

     

    Fix:

     

    1- Close the Service Desk Console.

    2- Run the following sql script against the Service Desk Database:

     

    delete from tps_application_user_setting where tps_user_guid = (select tps_guid from tps_user where tps_name = 'bbob')

     

    * replace 'bbob' with the actual name of the affected user account.

     

    3- Log back into the console as that user.
