Ivanti Endpoint Manager (EPM) 2017.3 introduced the new Software Distribution Portal for MacOS - Portal Manager. This Portal replaces the previously utilized  Ivanti Workspaces. As of Ivanti EPM 2018.1, Ivanti Workspaces is no longer included in the MacOS Agent.

The purpose of this document is to go over some of the features included in the new Portal Manager and some tips on normal use.

Portal Manager for Mac was designed as a Mac Admin app - it shares its appearance with MacOS native apps such as the Apple Store.

Portal Manager for Mac comes packaged with many features that are useful for day-to-day end user experiences. This includes:

      • Policy Refresh
      • Software Types
      • Categories
      • Tags
      • Multi-Select Installation
      • Search
      • Favorites

Configuring Portal Manager for Mac follows the same methodology as configuring the Windows Portal. There are 2 methods to Configure.

    Method 1: Agent Settings Tool

In the Ivanti Management Console, browse to Tools > Configuration > Agent Settings.

Select All Settings and then select Portal Manager. Either create a new Agent Settings or Right-Click an existing one and select Properties.

    Known Issues

    • The 2017.3 Ivanti Mac Agent didn't come pre-built with the Portal Manager Settings. To get around this, Portal Manager Agent settings had to be pushed post-install in order to populate the Portal Manager Window. This is resolved in 2018.1.
