GoldMine - When I click on the New Record button to create a new contact record nothing happens.
There are a few reasons this can occur and 2 of them deal with permissions.
1 - Logout the affected user/users who cannot use the New Record button - If the user/usres are logged into GoldMine when the change is made below it will not be applied to the user.
2 - Login to GoldMine with a Master User account.
3 - Select Tools-->User Settings
4 - Select the account that does not have the access to create a new contact.
5 - Select the Properties Button.
6 - Make sure the Add new contact checkbox is checked.
7 - Next go to the Menu tab
8 - Expand File
9 - Expand New and make sure you change the New Record and New Default Record type and selected and are green.
When they are Red the user will not have the ability to create a new contact.
When they are green the user will have access to create a new contact.
10 - Logout of GoldMine
11 - Login to GoldMine with they user account that was not able to create the user before
