This Solution applies to all versions of Ivanti Service Manager (current version, on the date when this article is created is 2017.3).
This article describes how to set default value of an email sent over Journal from eg. Incident, Problem Service Request etc.
1. Open Admin UI
2. Open Journal.Email Business Object.
3. Go to Business Rules -> Initialization Rules
4. Add Initialization Rule
5. Select EmailBody (EmailBody) as a Field Name.
6. Type default value in Expression Editor.
7. Save changes
8. Go back to User UI and refresh the website.
9. Try to create an email using Journal.
10. Default value should be visible.
