Issue with recent AntiVirus Definition 8-Feb-2019

Version 2

Endpoints with Ivanti Endpoint Security Antivirus module, experiencing high CPU utilization and endpoint offline.

Ivanti is investigating AV Definition files released on 2/8/2019 that may have contributed to slow scanning times and negative endpoint performance.
    The files in question are:

    •   1549619610 (64-bit Definition)
    •   1549619588 (32-bit Definition)

Fifteen to twenty minutes after release of these files, Bitdefender rolled back these definition files. The latest Definition files released are reported to resolve the issue.

At the creation of this document, the latest Definition files are:

    •   1549645187 (64-bit Definition)
    •   1549645170 (32-bit Definition)

In some rare cases, endpoints were stuck and not able to consume new Definitions.  In these cases, you may need to restart the agent service or reboot after the new definition has been received.  If the former mentioned steps do not resolve the issue, please call Technical Support to assist. Ivanti is continuing to investigate root cause with Bitdefender.
