    When creating a new contact record it has already a pre-filled field although Copy current record was not chosen

     

     

    GoldMine seems to take always the value from the current active contact record for the field in question

     

     

    [RESOLUTION]

    This is usually caused/setup with the Record Type Rules and should be verified.

    1. Log in with master rights
    2. Tools >> Configure >> Record Types
    3. Record Type Rules

    4. Verify if the rule is set to Field value-based + When creating a new record, automatically use the current record type in view

     

     

    - If this is by intention then users should be informed and trained how it is intended, otherwise the rules should be changed according to the desired way

    - Any change needs to be committed by the Apply Changes button in the Record Types Administration
