For Software Distribution Policies to work with the  Management Gateway there are several specific configuration options that must be set correctly.

These settings are in the Ivanti EPM Agent Configuration, the Ivanti EPM Agent registry, and the Software Distribution package that is going to be delivered to the client machine.

These three areas are all tied to the Core server name, and how it is referenced.  The core server name must be the same in all three areas.

This can be a NetBIOS name or a Fully Qualified Domain Name.  Whatever is used, it must be the same in all three locations.

On the Agent Configuration, this is the Core Name field as seen below.

This name by default is the name listed in the Client registry under HKLM\Software\Intel\LANDesk\LDWM\CoreServer.

The last item that must exactly match is the server name in the properties of the Distribution Package that is being pushed to the client.  It must match the other 2 items.

NOTE:  Software packages being deployed through the Management Gateway must be stored on the Core Server and be accessed using an HTTP share

All three areas listed in this article must use the same Name.  If any one is different, then policies will not work through the Management Gateway.
