How to clear out the reminder table so that reminders are generated when outbound mail is turned on, having already run the mail archive scripts to clear the message tables (see http://community.landesk.com/support/docs/DOC-4949 )
Stop the Touchpaper Services Background Processing Service, as this creates the entries in the message tables from reminders.
The following SQL will stop all existing incident reminders from generating any new notifications:
update im_reminder set im_is_active = 0
You could restrict the deletion to only those reminders which were due to be sent in the past but leave those that are still scheduled for the future by adding a condition to the statement i.e.
For SQL Server:
update im_reminder set im_is_active = 0 where im_send_date < getutcdate()
update im_reminder set im_is_active = 0 where im_send_date < SYSDATE();
You can also do the same for other modules by replacing the table name im_reminder table to the relevant table for that module i.e. Change Management is cm_change_reminder, Call Management is ca_reminder..
