· (April 02,2010) Sun has released an daylight saving time update for their JDK/JRE applications. The tzupdater tool is provided to allow the updating of installed JDK/JRE images with more recent timezone data in order to accommodate the U.S. 2007 daylight saving time changes (US2007DST) originating with the U.S. Energy Policy Act of 2005.
In order to remediate this vulnerability/install the application you must manually download the zip file from http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp. Once the file is downloaded, Unzip and copy the tzupdater.jar file to the \patch folder on the LANDesk core server, \Program Files\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\ldlogon\patch. Rename tzupdater.jar to tzupdater-1.3.29-2010f14.jar,tzupdater-1.3.29-2010f15.jar,tzupdater-1.3.29-2010f16.jar based on your JDK version. The vulnerability/application install can now be remediated through the normal LANDesk Patch Manager process.
