1. Re: Pulling Ivanti Service Desk Manager information into a tool like Power BI, are you doing it?
SusanJS Aug 21, 2017 10:47 PM (in response to jeffnohl)Hi Jeff,
We are just starting to do this. My Analytics team is setting up the data model. We did have to purchase the BIDs connector to the production environment and that is what we are using with Power BI.

DrizztLU Sep 7, 2017 8:39 AM (in response to jeffnohl)Hi Jeffnohl,
We're using SSRS (not sure if it's the same as Power BI) and getting data directly from database via queries.

SusanJS Nov 10, 2017 7:35 AM (in response to DrizztLU)Nope. Different product. www.powerbi.com
Pretty cool analytics tool.
jeffnohl Depending on number of users and how much they will be slicing and dicing, I would recommend utilizing a shadow db like BIDS o as not to impact production performance for the rest of your end users.

jeffnohl Nov 16, 2017 4:55 PM (in response to jeffnohl)Thanks all.
Right now I think we are waiting for the upcoming changes to reports, and then possibly looking at the other extraction options.

5. Re: Pulling Ivanti Service Desk Manager information into a tool like Power BI, are you doing it?
hcr-sa Jan 3, 2018 6:42 AM (in response to jeffnohl)We are using Power BI with iVanti Service Desk using Power BI Desktop.
However, we are unable to use it with either the Power BI server or Power BI O365. We are connecting to Service Desk through the web and the issue we are facing is related to authentication when scheduling refresh of data.
Does anyone have any experience in this?
