I need to pass information from other application to Service Desk via email, and would like to find out about how to setup mapping content to objects in service desk app. I'm using Service Desk 7.4.
email from: email@example.com
Subject: test => map to Title object
This can be customized to any formatt need to ensure mapping correctly
User : email@XXX.COM = > map to Report user object
report: detail info => map to Detail object
If you take a look at the mail manager component in the administrative shortcut, that should give you some dieas. The manual for mail is pretty clear too. There are a limited number of fields that you can map from the inbound email.
