Alerting Console is unable to load xml/eventing.nav

me too!

I am also getting this.  I am running Server 2008 r2 with MySQL express.  We are in testing phase to see if we will use this product.  Some found the solution below but it did not work for me.

Solution that helped in my case :

1.    Open the IIS Microsoft Management Console (MMC), right-click the local computer name, and then click Properties.

2.    Click MIME Types.

3.    Click New.

4.    In the Extension box, type the file name extension .nav and .mnu

5.    In the MIME Type box, type text/xml.

6. 

Apply the new settings. Restart the World Wide Web

Publishing Service.

I've got the same problem here too & the solution did not work for me either.

Did anyone ever figure this out?

I can't get it to work from either the core or the remote console.

Unfortunately, I still get the xml/eventing.nav errors on both.

It takes its sweet time, but loads with no errors.

Core is 2008R2 x64 in a 2008R2 Domain.

Thinking permissions issue of some kind?

How do you solve it  finally ?

i ended up installing the console on my client - it works fine now
