First thing that comes to mind is to add model to a column set and then sort. You probably know which are the old and new models so you could just delete approppriately.
You could also set the "Days to keep inventory scans" (Inventory tab in Services) to be something like 30 days and then when the replaced machines don't report in, their record will delete.
I've since found this post http://community.landesk.com/support/message/18747#18747 which details the command:
"C:\Program Files\LANDesk\LDClient\LDISCN32.EXE" /F /O=\\Share\%COMPUTERNAME%.scn
It might be what i'm after. If it is, the real gem would be a way to have it run against all agents and export the device informationinto individual .scn files.
That said, does anyone know if an .scn file can be imported back into the core?
Yes the .scn file can be dropped into the LDScan folder and it will be read back in. In terms of exporting to .scn file, that is my ER to get groups of systems to export to scn so you will need to do it one by one and also can do it from the core instead of at the client.
