I've try to push agent into 2 different machines (both Windows XP SP3) and both agent run successfully with two different return code (1083 & 1084) reply back to the core server (LDMS 9.0). Did anyone can explain what are the differences between these two numbers? And how we can configure return code for the agent deployment? As I understand from KB that we can configure the return code for Software Distribution but it's not return code for agent deployment. Any advise?
In order to use return codes mapping, you must have a defined package.
An agent configuration (via push) is NOT a package, so you cannot map return codes to it.
Also, generally, push isn't really much of a method that should see much use, as it can trip up on quite a few things (beginning with RPC problems), but for a quick look as to what's gone wrong, probably easiest to look on the client side logs.
