OSD Error - Overlap Existing Partition

    Apprentice

      Hi All,

I am trying to deploy an image to a machine and get an error message saying "Restore would overlap existing partitions".

When I click OK the operation error's out.  I do not know what is causing the issue.

      I am on LD 8.8 SP3.

      Thanks

unless you are using ghost, you most likely need to blow away the partition/s and recreate the partition/s before laying down the image.

To my understanding the OSD imaging process in LDMS is supposed to wipe the partition and create a new one for the image.

The interesting thing is that if I deploy the script manually, it will deploy the image.

Here is a copy of the log file that shows where it errors:

The image was taken from the machine and deployed back to the same machine.  I also had issues with the capture, I had to capture the image manually cause the script would only run for 2 seconds then quit.
