Where to set NIC speed for OS Deployment

    Rookie

In our environment we have all of our switch ports set to 100 full-duplex and when we run OS deployment or provisioning jobs it takes hours unless we change the switch ports to auto. Is there a way and how do we set the jobs to run at 100 full? when we image a PC what tells the NIC to run at auto or 100? We would like to avoid changing over 500 switches.

      Thanks.

easiest way i can think of is  go into your boot.wim, find your network drivers .inf file, do a search for speed_duplex

          should look something like this:

          HKR, Ndi\Params\*SpeedDuplex,      ParamDesc, , %Speed_Duplex%
          HKR, Ndi\Params\*SpeedDuplex,      default,   , "0"
          HKR, Ndi\Params\*SpeedDuplex,      type,      , "enum"
          HKR, Ndi\Params\*SpeedDuplex\enum, 0,         , %Speed_Duplex_Auto%
          HKR, Ndi\Params\*SpeedDuplex\enum, 1,         , %Speed_Duplex_10Mb_Hd%
          HKR, Ndi\Params\*SpeedDuplex\enum, 2,         , %Speed_Duplex_10Mb_Fd%
          HKR, Ndi\Params\*SpeedDuplex\enum, 3,         , %Speed_Duplex_100Mb_Hd%
          HKR, Ndi\Params\*SpeedDuplex\enum, 4,         , %Speed_Duplex_100Mb_Fd%
          HKR, Ndi\Params\*SpeedDuplex\enum, 6,         , %Speed_Duplex_1000Mb_Fd%

Modify the default to the number of your choice like this...

          HKR, Ndi\Params\*SpeedDuplex,      ParamDesc, , %Speed_Duplex%
          HKR, Ndi\Params\*SpeedDuplex,      default,   , "4"
          HKR, Ndi\Params\*SpeedDuplex,      type,      , "enum"
          HKR, Ndi\Params\*SpeedDuplex\enum, 0,         , %Speed_Duplex_Auto%
          HKR, Ndi\Params\*SpeedDuplex\enum, 1,         , %Speed_Duplex_10Mb_Hd%
          HKR, Ndi\Params\*SpeedDuplex\enum, 2,         , %Speed_Duplex_10Mb_Fd%
          HKR, Ndi\Params\*SpeedDuplex\enum, 3,         , %Speed_Duplex_100Mb_Hd%
          HKR, Ndi\Params\*SpeedDuplex\enum, 4,         , %Speed_Duplex_100Mb_Fd%
          HKR, Ndi\Params\*SpeedDuplex\enum, 6,         ,  %Speed_Duplex_1000Mb_Fd%
