The title may seem a little bit odd, but here's the situation.
We have a mixed environment of Windows XP workstations, which are considered the old production environment, and Windows Vista/7 workstations, which we consider as the current standard production environment.
For the Vista/7 workstations we introduced software distribution as a means of distributing software. For XP we have other tools. Those 2 options should not match.
Now, we are confronted with a dilemma, where users on a XP workstation have the rights to get software deployed. We want to prevent that without uninstalling the LANDesk agent or removing rights from the users.
Is there a way to locally prevent software distribution for these users without changing our software distribution scheme and rights?
Thanks in advance.
