The Default Report Path is located within an XML string in the tps_value column in the tps_application_Setting table where the tps_name='CRYSTALCONFIG'.
We strongly advise not to make any changes to this table unless instructed to do so by a support analyst as an incorrect change to the XML in one of the rows could cause serious issues with the product.
is that the only reference to that path if i need to change the location of the reports files
I'll try out in test first
Jason - why are you not setting this through the product?
I can't browse to the reports server share on the network and there is no option to type in a unc path. It's a fudge really
Yes, same here. I was unable to get the fudge to work for me. If you put in an Enhancement Request I will vote for it as I would dearly like to move the reports from where they are!
See if this helps
This query revealed the string i had to replace in the database
use 'your database name'select tps_name, tps_value from tps_application_settingwhere tps_name = 'crystalconfig'You then need to copy the tps_value on your system for the next statement but change the bold bits. It's probably all the reports that you have set up need but don't quote me on that. This is how it worked on mineUpdate tps_application_settingset tps_value = '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><CrystalConfig xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"><Categories><Category><Reports><Report><ReportFileName>\\newserver\newReports\incident.rpt</ReportFileName><UserID>userid</UserID><Password>*****</Password><MaskedPassword>password</MaskedPassword></Report></Reports><CategoryName>TestIncident Report</CategoryName></Category></Categories><ToHistory /><SMTPServerName /><From /><defaultobjreportpath>\\newserver\newReports</defaultobjreportpath></CrystalConfig>'where tps_name = 'crystalconfig'
Obviously this is how it worked on my system - yours might be different though
