Office 2010 KMS in a Win 7 Build

      Hello All

Just wanted to share this with you all so you dont run into the same problems we did. If you are planning to put Office 2010 into your win 7 Build then use a KMS server to activate it you need to run a command on the PC before you sysprep it. If you dont do this it all PC's will have the same CMID and not increment the current count on your CMS Server.

Immediately before you run sysprep you need to run ospprearm.exe from "%installdir%\%Program Files%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform". This will clear the CMID from the PC as the /Generalize switch in sysprep does not.

This is all covered in http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/officevolact/thread/0246cee9-d931-4fd4-a9e8-fae8a555a9e1. Look at the links in the bottom 2 posts for more information
