I've a problem too when i try to upgrade from LDMS8.8 SP4 to 9.
I've an error ORA-00001 during the migration of data from the older database to the newer.
The LANDesk Support works on this. I inform you on the resolution of the problem.
I've gotten a few Oracle errors, the most recent being ORA-00942: table or view does not exist.
I too am working with support to resolve the issue, I was just curious if anyone else had any major issues with the upgrade.
We had major problems with a clean version 9 install and Oracle, because of AMP.
In my opinion it is better to wait for SP2, that is scheduled for the next month and is coming without AMP.
We ended up getting a script from Support that built missing tables in our DB. This solved the issue with the upgrade failing.
Is this a general problem with oracle databases? We're running LDMS88SP4 on an oracle DB but i need to upgrade it to LDMS9 someday.
It's impossible for me to say. I think our setup is kind-of unique. Check the upgrade logs at c:\program files\Landesk\dbConfigVApp\log, and if you see an ora-error indicating a missing table, there's the indicator that this is the issue. We have a test system, which saved our prod environment from being down while troubleshooting.
