It works the same, it's just not created by default. If you create the key it will be gathered just like in XP.
If it is 64 bit windows, you probably need to add Wow6432Node after Software in the registry path.
We created a reg key to push the custom data to Windows XP machines, which worked, but in Windows 7, the same push gives us a failed result. I am guessing this is due to the user access control. Is there way to push this without getting a failure from the LANDESK server? We put department information the custom data field.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sunil, could you provide more information about how you are "pushing" this registry update? Through LANDesk, Remote Registry, etc. Would give us a better idea of why it's failing.
