Ability to search for Incident when adding parent/child

When I want to add a parent or child incident, I have to search page by page for the inicident I want to add.  We have over 60,000 requests which means about 385 pages to search through.  9 times out of 10 we know the incident number so is there a way to just enter the number and have it search for it?

yes indeed you can do this.  In object designer there is a default query for objects like incident.  Look in the user interface properties for the incident object itself.  It is this query that is run when you add parent/child.  So copy this query to a new one, add some prompts and that should give you what you need.  I typically sort with the most recent at the top and allow a contains search on title and description.
