    Easily replacing software package files

    Rookie

Is there any way to easily replace/update package files?

For example, I already have Java 6 Build 21 as a package. I would like to simply swap out the .exe file for Build 22. The problem is that LANDesk hashes all the files on the server requiring me to remove all existing tasks, including the ones specified in the provisioning, and reset the hash. But even then, I would have to cross my fingers that I found *all* existing tasks including the ones from the other support staff.

Is there an easy way to simply swap files for easy updates? I already put in a request so that hashing should be an option for software packages instead of being strictly enforced.
