I see this problem as well. Most of my "broken" clients were already broken on 9.0 SP1 and did not get the SP2 upgrade. Some are really offline (which is hard to tell when LD isn't working right!)
Goose8: SP3 of what? LDMS 8.8 has SP4 as latest; LDMS 9.0 has SP2 as latest.

We are upgrading to Windows SP3.
However, I just found out the issue was resolved. Apparently there was a process on the server that was not recording scan results correctly, which caused some data to get lost in the shuffle.

What was the process not working? I am encountering the same issue?
Accourding to our help desk, the service was called "Inventory Scanning Service."
It should be set to "automatic" but for some reason, it needed to be stopped and restarted.
