try to run the installation manually on one of the failing targets to see what is wrong.
Maybe some prerequisite is still missing.
Are you deploying the SP2 slipstream version of the console?
What is the target os of the machine?
Thanks for the response, I have tried installing the console manually and get no issues - All prerequisites are there.
I am installing the SP2 slip version, onto a windows 7 PC.
Not sure where to go next?
I could be totally off the mark here but the entry in the log that says.. 'Thu, 30 Dec 2010 17:05:13 Failed launch process as user launch with 1 (error 5, 0x00000005)' may be a hint.
In the distribution package properties is it set to run as the system account or the logged on user account? If it's the logged on user what level of access does the logged in user have?
Another couple of things I would check is does the payload copy to the LANDesk cache file on the client or have you set it to run from source? And does the windows event viewer application log provide any hint?
I've tried running both ways, as system or locally logged on user - the logged on user was a Domain Admin account so don't think it can be that.
I have set to run from source, the articule instructed that this was necessary...
Unfortunately there is nothing added to the event logs!
